Battleground Tournament of Champions

I was extremely pleased with how the girls played this weekend.  Win or lose, they played fantastic!  They are starting to hold shape much better, move without the ball, and look for simple passes to break down the other team.  I saw them look for overlapping runs, give and go's, and I even saw a few moves! ;)  I felt they did a great job of stepping up to deny first passes and win 50/50 balls and the composure with the ball that they are beginning to develop indicates to me that they are starting to understand more of the game and not just the basic ideas.  We will continue to work on organizing in the attached and runs to create options but overall, really great stuff this weekend!

Please encourage the girls to continue writing in their notebooks.  The more practice points and stand out game moments can be reiterated, the quicker the learning curve.
 
Also, as requested at the beginning of the season, please try to refrain from giving instruction.  I had a few girls confused and say they couldn't hear what I was telling them over what the parents were telling them to do.  I know you guys want to help but............ :)
