TNFC Tournament FAQ's For Outdoor Events

Q. What is TNFC?

A. The Tennessee Futbol Club is an elite club in Franklin, TN. TNFC has had many State Champions since its inception in 1999. 

Q. What events do you hold?

A. We host two outdoor events each year. In May, the May Madness Tournament  (generally the 1st weekend) and in September, the Battleground Tournament of Champions (generally the 3rd weekend).

Q. Will I be able to apply on-line?

A. Yes, click on application link on the main tournament web page.

 Q. When is the tournament deadline?

A. Each event has its own webpage and all the deadline dates are listed.

 Q. Where do I find the latest info about the tournament?

 Q. How many teams will be playing?

A. Generally we have between 125 and 140 teams per event.

 Q. What is the cost of the tournament?

A. See the general info page on our website.

 Q. Where do teams come from?

A. We get a lot of TN teams as well as teams from GA, AL, MS, KY, IN, AR, MO and OH. We have had teams from Chicago and Michigan in the past.

 Q. Will there be multiple divisions per age?

A. Yes - if the number of teams permit us to make that decision. We try to group different levels of competition to make it a great experience for all.

 Q. How many a side?

A. U9-10, 6v6 U11-12, 8v8 U12 (11v11), U13-16, 11v11

 Q. Do you accept U8 players?

A. No. U8 players are not permitted to play in the event, regardless of where/how they are registered, i.e. US Club, etc.

 Q. Do you accept US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer members?

A. Yes, you can be registered with one or both organizations.

 Q. What is the roster limit?

A.U9-10, 12 players U11-12, 14 players U13 and up, 18 players

 Q. If we are from out of town, can we play Friday night?

A. Yes, please send an email to our Tournament Director requesting your desire to play Friday night.

 Q. Where is Franklin, TN?

A. Franklin is located 15 miles south of Nashville, TN. We are 3 hours from Birmingham, Louisville, Memphis and Knoxville.

 Q. Where are the fields?

A. We play the games at the Williamson County Soccer Complex at the corner of Boyd Mill Pike and Downs Blvd.

 Q. How many fields do you have?

A. We have 27 fields, depending on the size configuration. We have a total of 16-18 full sided fields and almost all of them with lights.

 Q. What do I need at registration?

A. Each team will need an official roster, medical release forms and player cards. Out of state, US Youth Soccer team's will need a travel permit.

  Q. Can I register on Saturday morning?

A. Yes, with Tournament Director approval.

Q. How will teams be selected?

A. The Tournament Committee will use a criteria system to choose teams. It's always best to get your applications in early.

Q. What point system do you use?
A. We use a 10 point scoring system.
 
Q. Will all our games be at one location?

A. We like to rotate the ages around. You may have games at multiple sites/fields.

Q. What if it rains?

A. We will do all we can to work around inclement weather. We do not own our fields so we have to be good soccer citizens and make certain we make the right decision that benefits all youth of Williamson County.

Q. I have a coach conflict, what do I do?

A. Let us know your conflict and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Q. Is there parking fee the day of the tournament?
A. Yes we will charge $5 / car for a weekend pass.
 
Q. Do you have enough referees?

A. We use a three ref system and like to put adults on older games if we can. If your team has a ref that travels will you, we would like to hear from that person. We will get them some games.

Q. Will friends at home be able to see scores, real time?

A. We are using Soccer Scheduler and scores are real time.

Q. Should we indicate our state and national ranking?

A. Feel free to give us whatever information you think would help us better make the right decisions regarding acceptance, brackets, etc...

Q. Will there be pre-sales of t-shirts?
A. Yes we will have pre-sales available.
 
Q. Is there a mall close by?

A. The Cool Springs Galleria is close to all hotels and eateries.
