TNFC 99 Valkyrie finished in 1st place of the Spring 2012 Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) U13 Division I State League West Division and qualified for the State Championship Tournament.  Valkyrie had 5 wins and 0 losses.  They beat CSA 99 Lady Lobos Blue 3-0, BWSC 99 Premier 4-1, MidSouth FC 99 Blue 5-0, TN Rush 99 Nike 6-0, and Murfreesboro Strikers 99 Premier 2-0.  For the 5 games, Valkyrie scored 20 goals and allowed only 1.  The TSSA D1 State Championship Tournament will be the weekend of June 1-3 at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro, TN.  For the sate tournament, Valkyrie (SL West #1) will be in the same bracket as GRCSA Lady Flames 99 (SL East #2) and MSC Strikers 99 Premier (SL West #3) and the other bracket includes FC Alliance 99 Black (SL East #1), BWSC 99 Premier (SL West #2) and Blount United Lady Hammers 99 (SL East #3).  Good luck girls and Coach Nicole!

TNFC 99 Valkyrie was finalists of the 2012 Adidas Cobb Classic in the U13 Premier Division played on a very windy and cold weekend of February 11-12 in Austell, GA. On Saturday, Valkyrie beat Cobb FC 99 Premier Blue (GA) 3-1 and then lost to Sunrise Sting 98/99 (FL) 0-2 in their second game. Sunrise Sting is the 2011 U13 Florida State Championship Semi-Finalist as U12s. On Sunday with a wind chill of 9 degrees at game time, Valkyrie beat SCU/MP 98 Elite (SC) 4-0. SCU/MP is the 2011 U13 South Carolina State Championship Semi-Finalist as U12s. For their second game Sunday (with warmer temperatures), Valkyrie played Atlanta Fire United 99 Elite (GA) and finally beat them in a very close game 1-0. In 2 prior games against Atlanta Fire, Valkyrie had lost 2-4 and 1-4. For the weekend, Valkyrie had 3 wins, 1 loss, 8 goals and 3 goals against.  It was a great weekend to the start of the Spring 2012 season and a weekend of great competition. Congratulations Coach and girls.
