Each year at the end of the Fall season, TNFC 99 Valkyrie has a service project that they do for the community and a year end party. This started 3 years ago when the girls were part of the TNFC 99 Academy. That year the TNFC 99 Academy visited the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt bringing items (individual activity bags; individual “ready to make” craft kits; and items for the snack carts) for the children at the hospital. Last year TNFC 99 Valkyrie attended the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Nashville, TN bringing items from the House and Family Room wish lists. The girls got a tour of the House and got to visit with some of the children. This year the girls did a book drive for the Mercy Clinic in Franklin, TN. The clinic hands out free books to all the children who come to the clinic for services. The website for the Mercy Clinic is http://www.mercytn.org/ . At the end of the evening the girls went to Pie in the Sky Pizza (Cool Springs) for the year end party. Thanks to the girls, Coach Nicole, and the parents for making this a special event.
